Help: The Library

The Library view gives you access to all your text and toios-libol modules as well as other features of the program. Tap the button at the bottom left of a text or tool view to go to the Library.

Tap a line to reveal a scrolling list of all the Bibles or tools in the section.

Tap the blue disclosure button for a module to read About the Text.

Tap a module name to open it.ios-about

Accordance remembers the search state and the location and parallel pane for any module opened during a session. This lets you go to another module, perform searches, and then return to an earlier module without losing the place.

Library Sections

  • Recent Modules: appears at the top after two modules have been opened, and stores up to 100 names. The Clear button removes the list.ios-lib-recent
  • Texts: Bibles and other ancient texts and translations
  • Devotionals: Daily readings
  • English Tools: Dictionaries and other books sorted alphabetically
  • Greek Tools: Dictionaries of Greek words
  • Hebrew Tools: Dictionaries of Hebrew words
  • Reference Tools: Notes and Commentaries arranged by chapter and verse
  • General Tools: Other booksios-lib-notes
  • My Tools: General Tools created on Accordance for Mac, which are read-only on the iOS
  • My Notes: Your own notes on one verse at a time

Searching the Libraryios-lib-search

Enter the beginning letters of the name to find a specific module. In the initial view it searches all the sections, but within a section, only the modules in that section.

Tap Edit to switch the Library to edit mode.

Tap and hold the list icon on a module to drag it to another position in the same section.

Tap the red minus button to reveal the Delete button. You can also swipe a module in the main Library view to reveal the Delete button. (Note that you cannot delete a module which is currently loaded for viewing.)

ios-lib-edit2Deleting a module removes it from the device to free up space, but you can reinstall it later.

The Bottom Bar Buttons

Tap the Downloads button on the left to download modules through Easy install and Updates.

Tap the Sync button in the center to link with Accordance 9 on Mac and allow you to transfer modules into the iOS and sync your User Notes, User Tools, and Highlight files.

Tap the Settings button on the right to open the preferences and log in to your online account.
