We will be offering a Practical Topics Training Seminar in the Orlando, FL area on February 24-25. This event will run differently from most of our other training seminars, as each session (after the initial primer) will focus on how to use Accordance in a particular context or to accomplish a specific task. Feel free to attend all sessions or just the ones you are interested in. See the schedule below for details:
7:00 PM-9:00 PM
Session 1: Accordance Primer
This session is designed to get everyone up to speed on the basics of using Accordance.
9:00 AM-10:30 AM
Session 2: Exploring the Background of Biblical Narratives.
This session will demonstrate how to study Biblical narratives and discover historical context as it pertains to a passage.
10:45 AM-12:15 PM
Session 3: Learning to Read the Bible Better.
This session will focus on how to chose the right Bible translation for the right job, tweak Accordance preferences, design a custom workspace, and use simple techniques to increase clarity and understanding when reading the Bible.
1:30 PM-3:00 PM
Session 4: Accordance in the Classroom.
This session will demonstrate how teachers can use Accordance to prepare lessons, put together presentations, and actively respond to student questions in a classroom context.
3:15 PM-5:00 PM
Session 5: Word Studies in the Original Languages.
This session will show how to conduct word studies in Hebrew and Greek in order to discover nuance in the original languages that English translations might miss.
