Accordance not being a Cocoa app, as far as I can tell you can't change its key bindings. I could I guess change the Spaces from CTRL to command or option, except that a lot of apps use these keys for other purposes. Shouldn't you consider using Command-[number] instead?

I also wish that accordance supported the default Safari keys for changing tabs which is I think command{ and command}. Better to follow the lead of Apple on this stuff.

And I'm always hitting Command-T to open a new tab as per Safari as well. I think the key setup in Accordance needs to be brought in line with standards.

In fact, I was just thinking the other day that Accordance badly needs a feature like this. Now that I think of it, I'd heard of ctrl-+ before, but fat chance I can remember that. Why can't each display pane have some buttons to cycle around texts? Yeah, sure you can select from the drop down, but this is incredibly painful to go through all the books in order.

BTW, since at least on short keyboards you have to press shift anyway to get a +, I'm not sure what the distinction between ctrl-+ and ctrl-shift-+ is. Maybe it will be obvious when I get it downloaded.

In that case, if you've done any search beside the asterisk, Accordance does wait for you to hit return.

If it ran the search automatically, Accordance would then tell you if the search fails. Since you might be control-plussing several times to skip one tool and get to another, the automatic search would present more of a hassle than hitting return.

For example, if I search the reference field of EBC for Isaiah 40 I get a hit. If I then go to NAC, I don't. If I then go to WBC-OT, I do. If I proceed to WBC-NT, I don't. Automatically running this search every time I control-plus would give me an error message when I go to NAC and WBC-NT, which I might have intended to skip past anyway.

At any rate, using shift-control-plus to change the contents of a Search window pane does update automatically without rerunning the search.

Jeremy Writebol

Very nice... you still have to hit "Return" once you "Shift-Control-+" to get the text of the commentary to appear, but maybe in a future update that can be modified to appear automatically??? Maybe???

Thanks for the good work Accordance team!

Helen Brown

We also added shift -control [ and shift-control ] to cycle through the text panes, so you can select the pane you want directly from the keyboard, and then change the module displayed in it.

Nice for those with keyboard skills (I lack them).
