Searching OT-frequency and book-frequency at the same time

(Hello again. Thank you for all your help!)

I'd like to search for words that occur between 75-100 times (in the Old Testament) in Ezekiel, but only the ones that occur more than 5 times in Ezekiel itself. Is there a way to search this directly, or do I just need to analyze the 75-100 words and sort by "count down"?

Thank you!

Tim

There is no single search that will do it. You first search the entire text for:

[COUNT 75-100] [RANGE eze]

Then in another window you can search:

[HITS tabname i.e. BHS-W4]@[COUNT 5-100]

with the range popup set to Ezekiel.

That second search query tells Accordance to find words that occur more than 5 time in Ezekiel but that are also found in the list of words in the first window.

I hope this works, I didn't test it.

Ahh Helen, you were just too quick! When I looked a few minutes ago, you hadn't replied, and now you have. I see that your solution was the same as mine though!

Hah! I was wondering how to do this in a single search. Sorry, Ken, I couldn't figure it out either.

There is no single search that will do it. You first search the entire text for:

[COUNT 75-100] <AND> [RANGE eze]

Then in another window you can search:

[HITS tabname i.e. BHS-W4]@[COUNT 5-100]

with the range popup set to Ezekiel.

Thank you Helen - this worked!

Thanks,
