"Accordance quit unexpectedly"

Accordance (9.5.2) crashed when I tried to save a workspace. Attached is the crash report. OS X 10.7.2 (Lion)

No. It hasn't crashed again, though. No comment yet from Accordance tech support on this. Perhaps they will be able to tell something from the crash log. Can't believe I'm posting crash logs again... had enough of that with "the other" Mac Bible software to last a lifetime. :-)

I ran the "Check for Updates" this morning and about 1/2 the way through Accordance unexpectedly quits. I have tried this 4 times and it crashes at the same place every time. This is the first time I have run the check for updates since the upgrade to 9.5.2. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I am having the same exact issue with 9.5.2 and am unable to update any modules. I hope someone posts a fix soon.

Did you email support, or just post here? If the former, it may be helpful to also send the offending workspace or a screen shot of the resources open.

I believe there is a server error, investigating right now.

 

Stuart, I did not see any attached crash report, so I'm not sure what is going on. If you manage to reproduce it, sending a screenshot (or the workspace, though I don't think that would be possible) would be very helpful.

The crash on Check for Updates was due to a bad file on the servers. It should now be fixed. As for Stuart's workspace, we need more information, or a screenshot of a workspace that crashes repeatedly when saved.

I believe there is a server error, investigating right now.

 

I updated to 9.5.2 a couple days ago (maybe the day it came out... I don't remember). I had zero problems updating. It seems something may have changed from that time to today. Server error or the update file itself corrupted?

Know the servers and all have been down, But did you get fixed up Stuart?

It is "very" unusual to have any major issues with Accordance, thus want to make sure you got what you needed.

I don't think anyone has had a chance to look at the log yet. Is this a repeatable crash? There are several issues discussed in this topic.

Not sure Helen, been so busy I have not had a chance to get back with him personally, but will try to follow-up tonight.

Hopefully he will post back here before then.

I recommended Accordance to him thus, feel some extra responsibility towards making sure his experience is the normal one.

Was very surprised to hear he had an actual "crash".

He has been through enough of those in the last year with the program he was using prior.

 

Other than when I had that one corrupt file, Accordance has always been stable as rock and fast as lightning for me.

I've not had Accordance crash again while saving a workspace but have had it crash twice in the last two days while playing around with "advanced" searches (using HITS, CONTENTS, INFER, etc) as I'm working through Dr J's podcasts on advanced searching. Stuart: I will contact you to screenshare and see if we can track down these crashes. Sadly the crash reports are rarely helpful, but we will look at them too.
