10.3.4 multiple notes file edit

I first noticed this with the previous beta, and I still observe it in 10.3.4.

 

Let's say I have two SEPARATE note files: note1 and note2. When note1 edit window is opened, say, to Luke 4:5, and then I attempt to open note2 edit window at Luke 4:5, Accordance pops up a warning that says:

 

Another Edit Notes window contains notes for the next reference: Luke 4:5.

 

Do you want to go ahead and close the other Edit Notes window now? (Click "Cancel" if that Edit Notes window needs to be updated.)

 

 

If it matters, "Allow multiple notes Edit windows" option in the Preferences is checked.

 

Is there some technical reason why Accordance gives this warning? It seems to me, since I am editing two SEPARATE note files, this should be a non-issue.
