Something cool I just figured out how to do

First of all, learn the keyboard shortcut (on Mac) of: Ctrl+Opt+http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSXV10/content/resources/images/accordancehelpv2/apple_cmnd.gif+↓ for "Go to next Mark" in search/hit results. Also note that http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSXV10/content/resources/images/accordancehelpv2/apple_cmnd.gif+ ↓ is "Go to next verse or entry."

Biblical texts just have "Vs" (verse), "Ch" (chapter) and "Bk" (book) options for navigating results (unless the context slider is set to A). "Mark" is present in Tools and User Notes.

A number of forum users already know the above. For those who don't, these are two of the more useful keyboard shortcuts I've found.

What I was wondering about and subsequently figured out--when I search a biblical text for a word, the http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSXV10/content/resources/images/accordancehelpv2/apple_cmnd.gif+ keyboard shortcut takes me through the individual verses that show up in the results (with my context slider set to 0). But if I want to add context via the context slider (say, set it to 2), the "Go to next verse or entry" keyboard shortcut then takes me verse-by-verse, but this is no longer also hit-by-hit. (This is because my changing the context slider has made "verse" and "mark" no longer identical, which they were with context slider set to 0. I.e., not every verse now showing has a hit result.) This is all as it ought to be, of course.

If you set the context slider to A the "Mk" (Mark) button shows up, but with the context slider set to anything else between 0 and A, you can still use the "Go to next Mark" keyboard shortcut above to navigate hits more quickly, even with all the context showing.

I thought this was a cool enough discovery (at least for me) that I wanted to pass it on. If I've left anything out or not fully nuanced everything above, power users or Accordance staff can feel free to chime in.
