davidmedina Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 Today at church I was using Accordance in my ipad while we are studying 1 Corinthians. I noticed that the word translated as "greed" in 1 Corinthians 5:11 (ESVS) is not tagged nor show anything in the Instant Display. I checked other tagged translations like the NIV (both tagged versions), NKJ, NASB95S, NRSVS, Mounce, KJVS, HCSBS and they all have the word tagged and it display in the Instant Display. When I got home I check on Accordance desktop on the MAC with the same results. Why is that specific word not tagged on the ESVS and it is in every other tagged Bible? Is this intentional or a bug? Julia Falling Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 David – I find untagged words in various versions on a regular basis. Just use Mac-Acc to "Report a correction." However, we have different sources for the tagging: KJVS was done early, presumably word by word, by volunteers in the early days of Bible software. NAS95S, HCSBS, NIV-G/K and now NIV11-GK and GKE were done by the publishers who invested considerable effort to provide accurate and complete tagging. Our other texts were tagged in house: ESVS, NRSVS, JPSS and we admit that these are works in progress.
