Workspace Tabs

I have a couple of workspaces and in one of the workspaces I have the tabs "tied" to the first tab in the workspace. As long as I remain in the same chapter the other tabs follow along as advertised but if I change to another chapter or even another book the other tabs do not follow. I assumed that wherever the "leading" tab went the others would follow but that does not happen. Is there a problem here or is this normal?

The tied tabs will follow only if the contents displayed match those of the primary tab. In those other tabs you will need either to display the entire text with an *, or to link the arguments (which does not work for Verse searches in the search window). In other words, tying does not change the argument in the other window merely the scrolling.

Linking the arguments with LINK or CONTENTS command to the primary window does change the contents of the secondary windows. The chapter on Commands in the User's Guide tries to explain the ways you can work with multiple windows.

If this does not solve your problem, please post snapshots of the tabs you have.

Thank you Helen. Part of my daily regimen is to read through a book of the Bible. I just noticed that as I was reading through Genesis that when I completed a chapter and went to the next chapter the other tabs did not follow. They only follow as long as I am in the same chapter. I have to go to each tab (translation) and enter the first verse of the next chapter and then they will follow. I hope I am making sense here. I will try to look further at some of the training video's which I have done but I have thus far only looked at those that were "basic". At any rate thanks so much for your speedy reply and thanks for a great program.

I think if you display the entire text with an asterisk in each tab, they will keep following. You can use the GoTo box at the bottom to jump to the place you are reading.

Do you mean an asterisk instead of "ff"? I have been using the "ff" (i.e. Gen 22:1 ff) . Perhaps that is why it is limited to the chapter.

No, I mean just enter an asterisk on its own so it displays the entire Bible.

OK. I understand. Thanks again, God bless.
