comparing between translations

I recently started a bible study with a JW and imported the New World Translation into Accordance. How do I easily find all of verses where they replaced translated Christos to Jehovah? I thought maybe I would have to do some type of construct or Content search argument, but no luck so far... Any ideas?

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, and Accordance may not do exactly what you want. You can create one tab for a Bible, say KJV, and search for Christ. Then open a second tab with NWT as the search text and KJV in a parallel pane. Then search [CONTENTS KJV] Jehovah. You will find Jehovah in every verse where KJV has Christ, but they aren't necessarily translating the same word.

The Compare texts checkbox will highlight every difference between the two translations, but may not be much help here.

If you have a keyed bible text, such as KJVS, NAS95S, NRSVS, etc., you can get pretty close. Instead of searching for Christ as Helen suggested, do a search for the appropriate key number ([KEY G5547] in KJVS). Then use the contents command with the NWT. If you have the GNT-T, you can get that search exactly by actually searching for χριστός and then comparing with the Contents. Hope this helps.

Thanks. That works, but now I have another user tool that I'm finishing up and I wonder is there a way for me to link the key numbers in my user tool to my existing strongs concordance?

Here is an example of what I have

Matthew 22:1 And(G2532) Jesus(G2424) answered(G0611) and spake(G2036) unto them(G0846) again(G3825) by(G1722) parables(G3850), and said(G3004)

I use BBEdit to make most of my user tools, so is there some code I could use to make this happen?
