Does anyone know of a way to run a search on a user tool to determine how many scripture references are included and the frequency of certain references?

Chris, I played around with this for a while. You don't need a construct search for it. You can just search the "Scripture" field of any tool (if it is available). Select it in the "range" menu, which is just to the right of the menu button listing the name of the tool.

Once there, you can search for the tool's abbreviation for any biblical book. The number of hits will give you a rough idea of how many times the tool references the book (the abbreviation will give you the references, but not the number of times the book itself is discussed in the tool [since there it will be spelled out in full]. I suppose you could add the number of hits for each book together to get the total number of biblical references [if you were really, really determined!].

The only references this method will not catch is subsequent references to the same book, as those are usually written without the name of the book, as in this example: Gen. 5:1 and 14:3.

Anyone got any better ideas?

[bTW, the "COUNT" search command is not available within the "Scripture" field. Too bad, as that would have made this search as snap!]
