Abram K-J
I'm looking for a good pre-made map that shows the various countries/languages mentioned in Acts 2, after the Holy Spirit descends on the disciples. ZIBBCNT at Acts 2:6 has exactly what I'm after, a map that "shows the fifteen locations mentioned in Acts 2:9-11." However, when I zoom in big enough to be able to read the location names, they're too blurry to decipher, so I'm not sure I can use that for projection. I didn't see anything in the Accordance Atlas by way of pre-defined layers (and "routes" obviously wouldn't be a place to look, since this isn't a journey per se). Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone created such a map in Accordance that shows the locations listed in Acts 2? I'm hoping there is something quicker than this solution from the forums a couple years ago, but perhaps not. I'll post in that thread, too, in case user "mikes" did put something together that is shareable.
JonathanHuber
A search for Acts 2 turned up a decent map in the Carta Bible Atlas.
Tony Lawrence
Also, the Zondervan Atlas has an excellent map that I believe meets your need at The Near East at the Time of the Pentecost. (p. 218) under the section The Expansion... If you don't have that module it is certainly worth purchasing.
Abram K-J
Thanks, Tony! I do have that module--one of the rare books I own in print that I also purchased in Accordance, due to its usefulness. I'm glad you pointed that map out--because "Acts 2:9-11" is embedded in the image, my "Scripture" search missed it, and searching "Pentecost" by Content also missed it, but searching "Pentecost" by Captions finds it! Just what I'm looking for.
