Alistair
I am wondering if, in the spirit of fostering dialogue and debate among Accordance users, it would be possible to set up an "off-topic" section to this forum. In my mind the purpose would be to raise questions and seek answers to biblical and theological issues that are strictly speaking outside the exact terms of use of the existing Accordance forum. Bearing in mind the great learning and high qualifications of a large number of Accordance users, it would be a pity to not be able to draw upon the resources of so many fine minds and learned scholars. ~Alistair
Helen Brown
This idea has been raised before, but as we say in our Forums Guidelines we really do not want to get into this area. There are many many message boards and newsgroups which allow this, but so often these discussions degenerate into acrimonious mud-slinging between people of different views and backgrounds. Accordance users are a very diverse group of people. We want them all to feel welcome here, and not to be put off by even a well-meaning comment that is actually offensive to them. This thread probably should be updated. Eventually, when the list grows long, it should be classified and possibly even annotated, and published on the main site as a sort of testimonial...
