Can someone create an ICNS version of the Accordance icon seen here?

It'd kind of fit well with Yosemite. :-)

Thanks!

There are quite a few good free online .png to .icns converters. I am not sure where I put those links, however!

Someone gave me one recently. I'll see if I can find it.

Found the link! Here it is:

Looks pretty neat in my dock. :-)

If Ken wants to post this to the Exchange, be my guest as well.

I use the free "Icon Composer" app made by Apple. It, amongst other developer tools, used to be included in the Mac OS systems, but now you have to go get it yourself from the internet. To do that, all you have to do is download and install the free Xcode app from App store. Once you've done that, open the app, click the "Xcode" item in the menu bar, pick "Open Developer Tools" and then click on "More Developer Tools". You'll then get directed to an Apple web page where you have to sign in or sign up as an "Apple Developer". Once you do that, you have access to more of their tools. To get Icon Composer, choose and download the package "Graphics Tools for Xcode 6.1".

With this Icon Composer tool, you'll be able to convert files into .icns or even Windows .iso files. You can even convert .iso files to .icns files. You won't, however, be able to manipulate the icons themselves in this app. It is merely used for conversion of file types. .tiff files are my file type of choice for conversion into .icns, but .png works fine too. I needed this app myself for making keyboard layouts, which I just recently learned how to do - a keyboard layout needs an icon, obviously, and seeing that there aren't any icons for Ugaritic or Phoenician, I either had to pick an icon that had no relationship with the language or make a new one from scratch. On a side note, I have to say that it feels pretty great being able to write alphabetic cuneiform and proto-canaanite on my keyboard rather than using the character viewer. :)

Anyway, if you need more icons in the .icns format, I'll gladly make them for you, unless you want to get into it yourself, of course.

With kind regards

Pchris

Thanks for the info! I think I had that on my machine in an older Xcode version. Thanks for the tip about how to download it again.

This would make a good replacement icon for Accordance 11 if the team wants to use it. :-)

It's on the exchange, so I'm pulling my Dropbox link now. Please look there for it.
