benjpiper
Does anyone know if there is a way to view page numbers in the Louw & Nida lexicon? I would like to cite the definition of a word in a footnote for a paper I am writing, but I don't see any page numbers. Thanks, Ben
Mike Thigpen
I don't believe most electronic editions of works like Louw & Nida have page numbers. Given the rise of such electronic editions, there are protocols for citing the material without page numbers. The SBL Handbook of Style indicates that a CD ROM reference work with a corresponding print edition should be cited as follows: Author, "Title of Entry," n.p., Title of Work on CD-ROM. Version#. Date.

Rick Bennett
You also don't need the page number if you cite it as a dictionary or encyclopedia entry. (From Turabian, 8.112): References to an encyclopedia, dictionary, or other alphabetically arranged work cite the title of the entry (not the volume or page number) preceded by s.v. (sub verbo, "under the word").
