wcwirla
I recently upgraded to 6.9.2, running on Tiger (10.4.5). Ran the Font Fixer as suggested. All is well except for the GNT which produces gibberish. Previously 6.9.1 ran fine. Help. wmc
Helen Brown
Almost certainly you still have old fonts around which FontBook is accessing. Please download the fonts.pdf and follow the instructions there.
wcwirla
Success! The trick was to go through each font in Helena and deactivate all but the most recent version located in Library/Fonts. I had an older version active. All is well. Thanks for the support. Bill Combs
Almost certainly you still have old fonts around which FontBook is accessing. Please download the fonts.pdf and follow the instructions there. I tried all these steps several times but could never solve the problem, so I had to turn off the font and graphic smoothing in the preferences and live with the inferior appearance. Today I downloaded and ran the program Font Finagler, which clears the font cache files-- http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22795 I am happy to report success. I can now turn on the font and graphic smoothing and it looks great. Bill Combs Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary
