sacha zemp
Hi In the christmas sale the new pillar commentary is on sale. I wonder though. On amazon there are 14 commentarieries. The package offered speaks of 9 volumes. That makes a difference of 5 volumes. Is there any plan to include them in future versions of the package? Will we have to pay for the difference? Regards Sacha
William B
I wondered that myself, the Pillar commentaries are the ones I really want, there does appear to be a few new ones out through, would be keen to know when they are due, as dont want to purchase the CD without them. Helen Brown
We will be releasing Colossians & Philemon next year. If there are newer volumes, we have not received them from Eerdmans yet.

William B
From what I can tell on the IVP books site Acts and Philipians are also available in book form.
Rick Bennett
From what I can tell on the IVP books site Acts and Philipians are also available in book form. According to the Eerdmans site (publisher of this series), there are 10 12 volumes currently available in print. Accordance currently offers 9 of these, with plans to include Colossians/Philemon next year (as Helen indicated). EDIT: Sorry to add confusion, the previous link to Eerdmans' site had not been updated by them. The missing volumes are Acts, and Philippians, with Hebrews due out in 2010. These will be added to Accordance in due time.

(Presumably so -- but perhaps an upgrade price instead of a full module price?)
Helen Brown
We recently added 2Peter and Jude to Pillar, and are charging $30 for the upgrade from the earlier Pillar NTC, which includes the new disk and the new volume. I trust this illustrates our upgrade policy for the modules which we publish ourselves. For some commentary series the publishers of the books retain the right to publish the software editions, and we have no control over their upgrade policies. sacha zemp
OK let me put this togheter. We receive 9 volumes (including 2Peter and Jude) for 199 US$ + shipping (during the sale). The update of just the new book 2Peter and Jude (380 Pages) is 30 US$ We can expect a price of 30US$ to 45US$ per book. For example Matthew has 798 pages and goes for 45US$ Still coming up (prices are my estimates): Colossians & Philemon (480 pages) 40US$ Acts (848 pages) 45US$ Philippians (392 pages) 30 US$ Hebrews (600 pages) 40US$ You can do the rest of the math if waiting another year is worthwhile or not. We can expect that next year they will have added more books to the package. Sacha
Helen Brown
We only have the first of those as an etext so far, I don't think the others are even published. Also we raised the price of the full set with the new volume, so there is no particular advantage to waiting, and you have to do without the commentaries in the meantime. Robb B
I know that the volume on Acts has been published as we have it in our holdings at Boyce Centennial Library.
thegoodfight
I know that the volume on Acts has been published as we have it in our holdings at Boyce Centennial Library. The Philippians commentary is available in print as well. I was hoping Accordance would have it soon as it is a book for my upcoming class in January and I would rather have it in accordance for my class. Guess the printed version will have to do. I don't fault accordance in any way...the book is new this year and I understand it takes some time. Have a Merry Christmas!!
