I regret getting TNIV very much now... nestea, It probably is odd that Zondervan published TNIV and the new NIV so close together. Last NIV was 1984, then TNIV in 2002 NT & 2005 OT, and now a new NIV in 2011. I'm sure the new NIV comes sooner because of the commercial failure of the TNIV. However, it seems to me, any frustration about this fragmentation and having to pay for a newer new version should be directed at Zondervan and its translation partners.
