Daniel R Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 We often take class notes in Accordance and we'd like to be able to create a hyperlink between a note and its reference, not just hyperlinks to Scripture. For example, in a user note, can we hyperlink "JM-45" to the general tool Jouon-Muraoka section 45? It seems that the only hyperlinks to be made are to Scripture references only. I would have thought that User Tools are actually more useful for class notes than User Notes as they offer more options. The Help files include details of how to format the different types of links: to URLs, files on your computer, or modules within Accordance. In the past I have used User Tools for class notes and have been frustrated with how my personal browser marks get screwed up when I edit notes (especially when adding greek or hebrew) I have already made; thereby losing my organization and brows-ability of my class notes (perhaps this problem has been fixed?). Therefore, I have begun using User Notes; they are organized by book/chapter/verse automatically and this can never be screwed up. Also, having the User Note parallel to the greek or hebrew passage is more convenient during a class where we are talking through the passage verse-by-verse. In preparation for class I often make comments on the passage and cite grammars and lexicons; hyperlinks to these tools would be incredibly helpful.
