Greg Terry
I know that version 8 has an extensive help system built in the program, but is the same documentation available for the user to print out somewhere? I would like to print out my own user manual. Thanks!
Donald Stidwell
IIRC, you can download a PDF version of the manual. You can also buy the manual for $25 (the option I chose - didn't much cotton to the idea of printing out a several hundred page manual).
Helen Brown
Unfortunately I have no idea when we will be able to update the User's Guide from 7.4 to a current version. The next project is to update the Grammatical Supplement. We do keep the Help files up to date, but it is not designed for printing. We investigated the possibility of a single source file for the Help files and the Manuals but it just wasn't a practical possibility for our situation. MicheleS
Is there a real use for the 7.4 manual in terms of my learning a lot about Accordance? I just purchased last week, version 8 of course, but would love printed documentation. I do love all the help within the program, the podcasts, and the various training videos, but would love the manual for hands-on reference. I will indeed use it if it is still a meaningful reference. Thank you!
Helen Brown
I think the old manuals are still meaningful, if you use them with the What's new in 8 in the Help. Mostly there are just new features that will not be documented, though some features do change. You have them as PDF files or can download them from the Downloads section of the website, so you can evaluate them for yourself. We are not planning to update the manuals, but we are completely revamping the Help files.
