Accordance for Android

Hey, I know you're busy with getting a Windows version of Accordance out the door, but fwiw, I think an Android version/option would be very well-received.

Having Apple/IOS and Windows (soon) covered, the booming Android market could be something to think about.

I know we all are taken care of given we have Apple PC's/devices, but I guess selfishly :) it would be nice having Accordance content on my Android phone and tablet. Then again, I'm probably not alone.

Loyal customer,
Steve

An android version is a possibility in the future, if we can compile our source code for that system. Until that is a reality, we do indeed have our hands full with three systems to support.

Thanks Helen. I suppose there is no way to access my Accordance content on an Android device via a web app or url?

From research firms it increasingly appears Android is now outselling IOS in both the phone and tablet markets. And the gap is growing. Some reports differ, but the trend is clear.

I would be happy if I could just access all that Accordance content I've purchased via the web somehow... while awaiting an Android version. :)

Web app would make the most sense.... allowing anyone to use it on any device that had a browser.... however unless there was a way to compile from the code I understand it not likely to happen.. also i am not sure if Accordance servers would work well as a place to read from..

I was kinda thinking how Logos has the Biblia/Faithlife web options for platform free viewing of your books, basically from anywhere.

But to be sure, love the Accordance product.

I think a native Android app would be much better than a web based one. I use my iOS devices in offline mode...

We are already struggling to port all the features and high-quality experience of Accordance to the touch interface. We do not think it is possible to convert it to a web-based application and maintain our high standards.

To be sure, I would value an Android touch interface before web access. Was just suggesting the web option if it was easier and faster to make happen.

Just checking in on the status of an Android version of Accordance. Thought I saw somewhere a post it was in development. Just a word of encouragement from at least this customer B)
