Yohanan
Sorry for the very simple question which might well be already answered in one of the hundreds of Accordance videos. In the past I used to copy text from Accordance to Word in order to prepare an easy text for my students in Hebrew (deleting part of the Massoretic accents). I just tried this and the result is full of all sorts of things which may be related the the accents. Thanks in advance for any little help on this. Helen Brown
We need more details, what computer system, what version of Accordance, what export settings, what version of Word?

Helen Brown
What are your settings in the Export pane of Preferences?
Timothy Jenney
Hi, Yohanan! Helen is correct, the export depends largely upon your preferences. Perhaps something has changed in yours. I have exactly the same set up you do, including the identical version of Word. I suggest the following prefs (1st screenshot). I have also included a snapshot of the pasted text (2nd screenshot): Note the odd character ( ∂ ) to the right of the aleph. I don't remember seeing that before. I'll report it to our programmers and see if it is a bug. Edited August 9, 2013 by Timothy Jenney
Yohanan
Sorry, I have been abroad. Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately this does not solve my difficulty, but I appreciate the promptness to react. I have got the same settings for Export, but now, maybe I should know how to export otherwise than by a "copy and paste" as I did successfully in the past. The copy and past does not work. Blessings. Yohanan
Now I could save the text as RTF but all words are in reverse order, word by word. I worked on a Psalm to rearrange but the printer makes it as not rearranged. I hope I can find a solution (as well as retrieve again my once more lost Atlas…) Kol Tuv, Yohanan
Timothy Jenney
Yohanan, Perhaps I wasn't clear. I used copy and paste as my "export" method. The results are what I reported above.
Yohanan
Thanks again though… Accordance must certainly be a wonderful tool, on my Mac it is mostly unstable and the maximum I get from ti is to have the synopsis of texts in original languages to get a first glimpse of potential textual problems (though it seems I will have to give up on defining a Pane Display which fits to my comfort, the settings getting back to the origin each time I open Accordance at the Office - Mac Mini from last year) To come back to this peculiar problem: 1. I do not get the SIL TIberian wich seems the most adequate result as far as I can see on the snapshots you sent me. Only SPTiberian, the result on Word being not Hebrew but this kind of things (end of Ps 16) : K1ynep@f-t)e twOxmf#&; (ba#&o Myy,ixa xrA)o ynI('ydIwOt@ .xcane K1n:ymiyb@i twOm(in: My guess is that I should get some Font in my system named SPTiberian. Is that correct? Thanks again for your patience.
Yohanan
Forgot to mention the recurring disappearance of the Atlas, which I would like to use right now, but nobody have yet answered. Last time I could at least download it again by deleting some atlas files in the application support file of Accordance. Yohanan
Yohanan
Finally I could copy the text, through Save Selected Text as RTF and stripping cantillation which gives this kind of anomaly you mentioned yourself - some accents not being recognized. Then from Text Edit I copied it to Word and it is clean. One problem was also that Accordance was "reluctant" to allow me to save the preferences in the Export window (the save button remained grey). I discovered that I had to first to "unclick" Reverse direction, then click on it again and then I was offered to save the preferences. Stil waiting for my Atlas and an answer about the unstable Text Display. Yohanan Edited August 17, 2013 by Yohanan
