Missing Modules

Recommended Posts

I've been running Accordance 8 for almost a year, and have even bought the 8.1 upgrade CD, but never caught that several of the modules that are suppose to come with my package levels -- particularly newly added modules since 7 -- are missing. Some things are there, such as the new Q Gospel parallels, but others, such as the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary, are missing.

I tried rerunning the installer and entering my license keys, but the installer rejected them as already being used. I then went into the structure of the CD and tried to individually install the missing modules, but then the program wanted to know an individual license key code rather than the Library or Scholar license codes.

Any ideas on how to make sure everything that should be installed is installed without simply wiping off Accordance and starting over?

Thanks,

Tim

First: the installer lets you install the same package more than once, so if you got the error it's because the code was wrong, or had already been used in that session. Please try again to reinstall your new levels.

Second: like Accordance, even the new Primary DVD installer is not perfect. It may skip moving or adding some modules, especially on upgrades as we have found it impossible to test every possible upgrade combination. The solution, if a module is still missing is:

  1. Use the Add Module (+) button at the bottom of the Library window, see if the module is present in Modules/Texts or Tools on your hard drive, and if it is, select it.
  2. If it is not there, manually copy it from the DVD to one of those folders (doesn't matter if you make a mistake), and repeat step 1
  3. If it does ask for a code, send us an email with the specific modules for which a code is needed, and we'll tell you.

I hope this helps.
