AccUpdater

I did an update all with the 8.1 CD, but AccUpdater is saying some stuff is still needing updating.

TNIV 1.2->1.3

ESVS 2.0->2.1

Metzger commentary 1.0->2.0

Bible Art 1.1->1.2

M. Henry Commentary 1.3->1.4

Summa Theologica 1.1->2.0

Greek Keys 1.1-> 1.2

NIBC 1.7->1.8

JSB 1.0 ->1.1

All of them seem to be saying downloads are available, but AccUpdater fails to download them: ("Failed, please try again").

And when I go to the Accordance Downloads page, the versions there don't seem to line up with what AccUpdater says. For example, TNIV 1.0 can be downloaded, and JSB 1.0. And others don't seem to be on the Downloads page at all, even though AccUpdater seems to be indicating they can be downloaded.

The files listed in the Accordance Downloads page don't necessarily correspond with the files available for the Updater. Generally the files posted for the Updater are much more comprehensive and up to date. However, we've discontinued support for the AccUpdater widget for quite some time now. As of Accordance 8.1 (free upgrade to any Acc 8 owner), there is a much more stable and robust built-in updater feature. Its located under the Accordance menu, just below 'About Accordance' and 'About this Text'. Does the built-in updater not work for you?

It is best to update the program first, through Check for Updates, and then download the module updates, as some of the downloads caused a crash in 8.1 itself.

I installed the latest Accordance and then ran the built-in updater, but it crashed. Tried it again, and it crashed again.

I'll try installing the aforementioned updates one at a time and see if that helps.

It seems to be the BibleArt module that makes it crash. When I remove that one from the list, the update works.

Might be a good idea to remove AccUpdater from the downloads page since it doesn't work anymore.

Please do not post crash reports on the Forum.

Bible Art is a large module. It is more helpful to us to know whether it was successfully downloaded to your Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/AccordanceUpdates/, and whether it unstuffed there.
