DSS hyperlinks in the Dictionary of Classical Hebrew (DCH)

When I click DSS references in the DCH, it notifies me that I need the QUMRAN module (Qumran Non-Biblical Manuscripts (Hebrew, tagged)). My question is whether the hyperlinks will also work if I get the QUMENG (Qumran Non-Biblical Manuscripts: A New English Translation) without getting the QUMRAN module. (and if so, how well since I read about some DSS references in DCH that had to be linked manually to the QUMRAN module and I assume that the issue would also happen with QUMENG for the same reasons)

Thanks,

Currently we 'hard-code' the links to a specific module; QUMRAN in this case because DCH is an original language resource. In other resources that are not specifically referencing the Hebrew text (or if it is ambiguous) we link to QUMENG.

That said, I think we could discuss supporting links to either if one is not found.

Update: It turns out that in my forgetfulness we have supported the ability to cycle through an array of compatible modules for a couple versions of Accordance (10.2+), but we have not updated the modules to support it. So, we're going to work on it right away; you'll notice updates for a lot of text modules. I'll post here again when it is tested and released.

I hope this helps to explain things.

Thanks for the reply.

I want to make sure that I understand you correctly. Are you saying that the ability to cycle through an array of compatible modules (For Accordance 10.3 for example) will also apply to DCH once resources are updated?

Thanks

Yes. If you have a link to another resource and there are multiple valid modules (QUMENG > QUMRAN; JOSEPH > JOSEPH-T; TARG-T > TARG-E) Accordance will cycle through if one is not found. If none are found the link will fail.

Are the various Pseudepigrapha modules (English translations) so complicated by versification issues that these won't be included in such an update? Or will they?

Theoretically it should work, but it isn't tested. You're right in that the versification is tricky with the OTP.
