MSS font not available in User Note

Hiya,

I've been trying to insert some apparatus symbols into a user note from the character palette, but they keep being inserted as funny symbols in whatever font I'm using at the time.

I can't then select MSS from the font menu (I have the 'Use default fonts in font menu' selection checked), as it's not there. How do I get the MSS font in this case (without going to the preferences and un-checking this option each time I want to add a character)?

Thanks,

Sam.

We are looking at this issue. We have already fixed the entry from the Character palette which was reported earlier on the Forum. We cannot reproduce the menu problem. Use Default Fonts loads all Accordance fonts and the default fonts you have selected for new User Notes, and selecting MSS does convert the characters correctly. Could you be using an old version?

My Accordance version is 8.0.5, I'm running on a Macbook 2.0 GHz, OS X 10.4.11.

The list of fonts I get is (in this order):

Helvetica

Times New Roman

Helena

Yehudit

Rosetta

Sylvanus

Peshitta

Salaam

No MSS font. If I have everything set to come up in the font window then I can find and select MSS, and it displays correctly. This choice, of course, renders the font palette practically useless.

Interestingly, if I'm not currently editing a user note (just in the main window) all installed fonts are displayed in the menu, not just the default ones. Not sure if this is normal behaviour or not.

We still are unable to reproduce this. Please try running the FontFixer utility. Are you using any special font management software?

Bummer. I tried running the Font Fixer, and no joy. I'm not running any special font management, just the default OS X Font Book.
