Mutien Chen
I currently upgraded to 11.0.3 and I am using MAC OS X 10.9. Every time I tried to go into the User Notes Display in Preference, the Accordance crashed. I am not sure what’s going on. Besides, I found I couldn’t copy Chinese text into the user notes and when I try to type Chinese in user notes, it became unreadable characters. The unicode in user note is one of the most important reason I upgrade to 11 and I hope this issue could be fixed! Best Regards, Mutien
Joel Brown
Mutien, it looks like your user notes have not been upgraded to the new format, which is required to display unicode content. There are a couple of caveats to upgrading (temporarily don't fully sync with iOS, and may have some trouble rendering certain MSS characters), but it is generally recommended. Just go to Preferences -> User Files and you should be able to upgrade.
Mutien Chen
Joel, that's wonderful! now I can type Chinese in user notes. However, it still crashed when I click "User notes display".
Scott Knapp
v1.7.9 of the iOS app fully supports syncing of the v11 user note files.

Mutien Chen
uh... I solve the issue by myself I guess. After I ran over the setup assistant in Help. I could change the User Notes Display in preference. For IOS, the user notes can't display Chinese. Hopefully this would work in the coming revised version! Scott Knapp
v11 type user note files create in the desktop app and synced over to the iOS app should allow editing and displaying of Chinese text. Is this not working for you?
Martin Z
The iOS version has some problem. I typed Chinese in the user note. It does not display properly. And now it even messes up with the Bible Reference. Now only "G" is left for "Gen 3:23". And I don't know how to recover it.
Scott Knapp
The "My Mobile Notes" user notes file is in the old user notes format which doesn't support unicode text. As I said above, you need to create a new v11 format user note file, sync it to the iOS app, and use that user note file to enter unicode text. Martin Z
I see. I did not know that we have to do it this way. Thank you very much, Scott.
