Hide spaces (in iOS)

I am finding myself spending more time on my iPad than on my macbook lately. But one of the hinderances that keeps me from leaving my laptop at home completely is that when I read uncial texts on my laptop I can remove the spaces (and I can't do that on my iPad). Is there a way to remove the spaces in the iOS version? If not, consider that my suggestion for a feature request.
