user notes suggestions

I maintain 2 user note files, one where I keep study notes, and the other my own translations from Heb/Greek. I go back and forth between them often enough that I've noticed some potential areas of improvement.

Where a verse does not yet have any notes, com+u opens the last opened note file in an edit window.

Where there is already an existing note, either in one or both user note files, com+u again opens the last edited note file. The problem is that I do not always want to open the last opened note file. My choice, then, is to close the recently opened user note edit window, com-u once again, and choose the right user note file to edit from the modal window that shows the available user note files to add/edit. But this does not always work and I can't figure out when Accordance presents this modal window and when it doesn't. There just doesn't seem to be an easy way to: i. switch to a different user note file for edit, ii. have two edit widows on the same verse from 2 different user note files open simultaneously.

My suggestion/request is that you make all use note edit windows aware of other user note files, and make it trivially easy to switch back and forth, display 2 edit windows simultaneously (of the same verse).

Thanks.

Well, it looks like turning off Reopen last Notes option lets me have 2 different edit windows open at the same time. Still, that option is useful when in many cases, especially when I'm not juggling 2 different note files, and I'd be sorry to leave it always turned off, because it adds the extra step of having to choose the note file each time. I wish there was a quicker way.
