New Store

I just wondered if there was any chance on a change in the store, more in the line of iTunes in that individual titles are sold, and then for sets a discount is given, even the option for completing a set. I realize that the publisher has a lot to do with this. Sometimes being able to search within accordance would be nice, but not on IOS as you should keep the money and not shell out 20% to apple who has a boatload already.

I agree that the store could be more user-friendly but I wouldn't make it more like the Itunes store. I hate that place. Although if you mean they should group commentaries into a specific page for a set (e.g. an NAC page which features all of the individual NAC commentaries available) that would be cool. Browsing commentaries isn't really practical right now---you have a listing for every available commentary from each set. That would be useful even without the discount. That setup would only be conducive for multiple volume sets that were sold individually though---it wouldn't make sense for individual volumes. It would also be useful to have an easy way to view every resource on a specific book of the Bible though. Tags may be the best way to do this (Meaning the NAC commentary on Ruth would be tagged as "OT Commentary," "NAC," "Ruth," "Old Testament," "English Studies,"and "Reference Tools" and you could bring up everything that was tagged with any of those options by clicking the tag) It would require some back-end work but it would make the store much more user-friendly/make it easier to find what to buy.

I would say that you should develop an "Accordance Store" to purchase things within Accordance but the way Mountain Lion is looking (OS X and iOS are becoming one) I wouldn't put any work into in-App sales because Apple may one day demand a cut. (And with Gatekeeper thay can advise that every user move Accordance.app to the trash if they want you to comply.)

(There are some discounts when you purchase more than one commentary from a set though---check out the discounts page. It's like 10% off when you unlock 3 of one set at a time for certain sets)

If I could change anything about the store it would be the billion "available within a package" options that show up when browsing. I get why they're there; if someone is looking through "Greek Tools" and trying to find something specific you want that item to show up so they can find it and learn how to buy it. I would want the same thing...but its pretty annoying when you are just seeing what's available and the majority of the items aren't even actual items for sale. This is particularly annoying when you sort by "Lowest Price." Everything that is "Available within a package" is sorted as $0.00 so the things that it costs the most money to get show up when someone is looking for the something cheap. This could be fixed by sorting these items by the price of their package or by placing them all at the end of the list rather than the beginning. (The BEST option would be "This item available in ____ package for $____ or "This item is available in 3 packages starting at $_____.)

This could be a profitable change---people who click "sort by lowest price" are probably looking for something cheap to buy on impulse. If someone wants a package, they'll find the package but that isn't true for the less expensive modules that require less of an investment. Like a pack of gum at the checkout, making these inexpensive items easily accessible (without having to wade through pages of package-only material) will probably lead to more sales.
