Are there any plans to bring the Macarthur Study Bible into Accordance?

We haven't heard anything yet. There is this thread, and this older thread as well. There are many of us who would buy it the day it is released. Perhaps now that the Accordance base has expanded even more due to the release of the PC version, there may be the man-hours to tackle this project? I don't know how they find the time to do all that they do!

Tony –

I think we'll get it. There are lots of us who want it. I just don't know when. The Accordance folks tend not to let us know all that they have in the works. So we wait. If it comes out tomorrow, I will buy it tomorrow.

Still waiting?  Any hope at all that Accordance will offer the MacArthur Study Bible Notes?

We have been able to license this, and it is awaiting development. No word on a release date at this point.

Which version?  The NKJV, NASB, NIV or ESV?

I believe that doesn't matter. Accordance in such cases makes only from the Notes a Tool. You can then it tie with any Bible.

I would love to see the German too.

Fabian is right, Tony.  We can use study Bible notes with any Bible version, or with several at once (that's what I do).  I think that ability is just one of many advantages of Accordance over print.

That not exactly correct. I have print copies of that study Bible in the NKJV, the NASB, and the ESV. There are subtle differences in all of them compared to the others.

It will be the NIV version, but it will not include the NIV text in Accordance. It is up to the user to choose which text they want to display the Study Bible Notes in parallel with. But, if the editors of the resource have made translation-speciic notes, they will be according to the NIV.

That is true.  But we also can be sure that if, in Dr. MacArthur's opinion, the text might be better rendered, an alternative will be offered.  I really don't care which Bible version a commentator uses because a careful commentator will comment on the text and correct when necessary.  At the same time, I am not a big fan of the NIV, '84 or '11.  And I've yet to find a wart-free version.

You can rest assured it is coming....but when something is loaded into the processing queue one never knows and for that matter Accordance may even have only a rough idea, when it is going to get done. It is true sometimes they bump things ahead to top priority, but things usually get done in a timely manner in order that they are done. Now there are times when things really break down like when the individual processing Anchor Apocrypha had a major delay due to a family emergency. But that type of delay is very unusual.

Love the study bible!

One request: fix whatever is keeping the reading plan from showing up in the devotional list, either on Mac or iOS .
