DESPERATE. WHERE DO YOU FIND THE RANGE FOR YOUR SEARCH IN NEW ACCORDANCE?

How do you open a thread in this forum?

Where do you find your profile?

Why impose two different passwords and names for account and forums?

ONCE I HAVE A WEEK TO DEDICATE TO IT I WILL BE HAPPY TO HAVE SOME USE AT ACCORDANCE

Accordance 9 was rather easy and searcher friendly though less aesthetic.

Hi Eli,

the first question is simple once you know how. At the far end of the search bar is a small + symbol. Press that and an area will uncover where you can select your range.

To open a new topic in a forum, enter a forum, and at the top right you will see a button that says Start New Topic in a black box.

As to more logins etc, they are different sites. You can make them the same (as long as your preferred login isn't taken)

Hope this helps!

I am told to go to my profile, but cannot find it from the hyperlink sent to me. This means when I get some info about that I have to log in again ask for a new password and then try to change it. This is a very complicated site, not as much as Accordance 10 is I guess…

Hi Gold, Thanks a lot for your help, I found this little plus sign and it opened the pop menu for ranges,.then I had to find out why my range was not correct (an hyphen was to needed between two books).

I am sorry to disturb the accordance specialist taht you are… I picked up the last thread.

I guess you have to get acquainted with the program by taking a few days just exploring, searching, getting upset some times, and at the end you become an Accordance user… then the next generation of the product arrives and you feel all of a sudden very old for this world -_-

And I still cannot find the place where to edit my profile. I hope one is allowed to enter a new profile for the forums (?)

Hi, Eli, and welcome to the forums. Version 10 did change a few things about the interface, but I'm sure once you spend some time with it it'll be come just as familiar as version 9 was.

To edit your forums profile, at the very top right of every page is a menu that has your name on it, so for you it will say "Eli Yahou", with a white down arrow next to it. Click that and select 'My Settings' to change aspects of your profile.

Hey, Eli - There's nothing like just clicking around and trying stuff to learn a program. Also, try Dr. J's podcasts. They're very helpful.

Here's a screen shot of the profile window Joel speaks of -

Hope this helps.

Hi Eli,

no problems at all. May I recommend you watch Tim Jenney's podcast (especially the last 3) on iTunes or by clicking here.

The Accordance Help in the Help menu is a world-class help system.

You can also post questions here. We are very happy to help.

I am not "an Accordance Specialist" really, I am just a working pastor and student in Sydney who enjoys the software.

The easiest way to edit your profile is to select your name in the top right area, and a drop down will appear with "profile" as one of the options post-29509-0-42620700-1349478283_thumb.jpg. Select that and there is a big black button "edit my profile" and go for it!

Hey Eli, just one more thing,

"Gold" is just a measure of how many posts we have made. The poster's name can be found elsewhere

Often the best place is in the signature (if there is one - where I have arrowed.)
