ESV module question

Fr. William Klock

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased the ESV module and am using Accordance 7.4.1. I've noticed an abundance of small letters scattered through the ESV text. I assume that these reference textual notes that would be printed at the bottom of the page in a print Bible. First, how does one access the notes connected with the little reference letters, and second, how can I configure things so that they don't display. When I'm cutting and pasting text into a sermon it's a real pain to have to manually remove all those little letters.

Thanks,

The small letters relate to the cross references, which you can access under ESV cross-references in a pane that is showing commentaries or other reference tools. To turn off the cross reference notations for the ESV, hit COMMAND-T or right click and choose "Set Text Pane Display..."

When that panel opens check the box for "Hide Superscripts." That turns off all the c. r. notations. Then click OK.

I hope that helps you!

Charles,

Thanks for your help. That's exactly what I needed to know. I've always used the KJV and RSV modules when it comes to English Bibles and have only recently switched to the ESV. The other English modules don't seem to have those superscripts, so I'd never dealt with them before.

Thanks again,
