Ruach
I want to do a search to discover all the questions asked in the gospels. is this possible? Actually, I want to discover all the questions asked by Jesus david
Timothy Jenney
Yes, at least in part. Use a period followed by a question mark: .? That will find all the questions. I don't know if there is a way to limit your search to the red words (in a translation that features them), but that would do it. Perhaps someone else here can add that piece. Abram K-J
I can't find the post just now, but I recall a forum post asking about searching red letters, and a reply (from someone on staff) saying it's not possible.

Ruach
Thanks guys. The .? works but I am having a hard time changing the range in the middle of the search to focus on questions only in the gospels. Follow up question--how do I search a question in Greek I tried .; but it did not work. David
Helen Brown
The .; search seems to work fine for me. If you search for the word before the semicolon, it gets highlighted which makes it easier to see: * .;
Ruach
Yes it does work now. Thanks. What about my other question? I tried to change the search range--limit it to the gospels but I can never get out of the search dialogue box. When I try to define the range as gospels, the update button is not available for me to click like the instructions say
Λύχνις Δαν
I don't quite follow you in respect of the problem you have defining a new range. But you can do the search this way and get what you want : * .; <AND> [RANGE matt-john] Edit : BTW I keep forgetting the <AND> is now redundant and can be omitted. Thx D Edited August 16, 2014 by Daniel Semler
Ruach
Thanks. I was able to restrict the range by putting [Range Matt-John] as you have done. But I thought when I did a search and then wanted to restrict the range I could just use the command R shortcut but that does not seem to work since I can't get out of that dialogue box
Λύχνις Δαν
Ah ok - so you should be able to do this : When you hit command R you should just be able to type in the range name and that would work for the search. But there is no popup for it there. The other way is to click the plus sign on the right hand of the search box and then that will allow you to select from a drop down box an additional constraint for the search. There you can select range. Then in the value drop down next to it you will be able to select the range from a list. I can post an image later if the above, written in haste, is not clear enough. thx D
Ruach
The little plus sign works well. Thanks for expanding my capabilities. Fun ahead.
