Greek diagramming and arcing

Hi there

I'm looking at the Greek diagramming tool on accordance and hoping to make the most of it. Unfortunately, at the college I'm studying at, we aren't really taught how to diagram or arc passages. Does anyone have a good (short) book or resource which might help?

Thanks

Derek

I feel a deja vu moment here. :) I asked that same question recently. You may find this thread helpful http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13290&hl= Also, have you tried Bible Arc website? It has some good tutorials as well as references there. http://www.biblearc.com

Having played around with the diagramming tool, one thing that has been really helpful is the colouring of verbs, nouns etc in different colours. Is it possible to break down the colouring of verbs even more? E.g. Aorists one colour, imperfects another colour. That would be extremely helpful.

Here are some resources that may help (from the forthcoming module, Dr. J's Bible Study Methods:

Bible arcing: http://biblearc.com/blog/what-is-arcing/

John Piper’s Biblical Exegesis, April 1, 2002. The pamphlet is freely available here: https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.desiringgod.org/seminars/biblical-exegesis&sa=U&ei=9DXyU_SXFaTf8AG38oHoAQ&ved=0CAUQFjAA&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEFTOGnr88u962ckUQsMbS0LAj9AQ.

Chapter six, “Tracing the Argument,” of Thomas R Schreiner’s Interpreting the Pauline Epistles (Baker: 1990; 2011).
