Pop up parsing on Windows Tablet

I just bought a table that runs Windows 8.1, in large part so that I could have a full version of Accordance available for me on-the-go (which one cannot exactly do yet on an I-Pad, I believe). It is awesome!

I have hit one snag, though: Since you hold down a left-click on Accordance for Windows to get pop-up parsing info, I can't get that parsing info by touching my tablet's touch screen. If you touch the screen you get a left click. If you touch and hold the screen, you get a right click. So, as far as I can tell, there is no way to hold down a left-click.

Does anyone know a way around this? It would be wonderful to be able to change the settings somehow so that I could tap the screen and get the parsing info to pop up, like it does when I hold down a left-click on the mouse pad.

Thanks in advance!

Jim, glad you are enjoying using Accordance on the go! I'm using it on a Surface Pro 2, and I agree its extremely useful and portable. I agree, though, that a long-click can't be properly replicated using your finger. There are a couple of workarounds that you can do:

A: If you have the keyboard visible, tap the 'Alt' button and then tap again, do to an Alt-click, which also shows the popup window. (Note, you need to expand the keyboard to the full one to see the Alt key)

B: Keep the instant details zone open, either as a zone at the bottom or side of your workspace, or detach it out, and even set it to fade. Then, simply tap once on a word to show the details, then tap off of the word for it to fade away.

C: Use a mouse ::wink:: :)

I hope this helps!

Thanks, Joel

Option A would clutter the screen too much. Option C defeats the purpose of having a tablet, of course. Option B sounds promising, but I need to educate myself on how all of this works. I'll have to go into Accordance and figure out what

the "instant details zone" is.

Thanks again!

Also, Billy suggested (via e-mail) that someone might know some ways to work around this using a stylus. Anyone know anything about such an option?
