jaredtorres
I'm learning Accordance still, so this is probably a beginner question. But I couldn't find an answer on the website. The question has to do with analytics. Let's say I'm looking at a psalm and I would like to know what the most common/frequently used words in the psalm are. I assume there is a feature in Accordance that would allow me to see word counts for a particular range. Is this possible? Jared
Lorinda H. M. Hoover
Using Psalm 126 as an example, set the search type dropdown set to Words, and type: * <AND> [RANGE Psalm 126] then click and hold on the icon of a graph under the search box, and choose "Analysis" (Not Analysis Graph) It opens in a new zone or tab. You can then set the Sort drop-down to "Count Down" to sort by frequency Lorinda
Lorinda H. M. Hoover
Note that using this method with English texts, capitalized and non-capitalized forms are listed separately. In grammatically tagged original language texts, capitalization is ignored. In Key number texts, you can also use: [KEY *] <AND> [RANGE Ps 126] this gives you a list of all the key numbers, and ignores capitalization. But you can't sort by count up or count down and still see the key numbers, and any word in the English translation not tagged with a key number won't be included in the count.
