Mark Nigro
Performing a 'check for update' caused Accordance to quit suddenly every time I tried. On a hunch, I closed all windows and tabs and then ran the check, and it completed the search. This seemed to resolve the problem. However, and this may best be made a separate thread, I saw updates that I thought would be available as a download to current owners, but it mentions getting them via the 8.4 DVD. Is this correct? I have provided a screen attachment. Thanks, Mark Nigro
Joel Brown
You are correct, you have two separate questions here. Performing a 'check for update' caused Accordance to quit suddenly every time I tried. On a hunch, I closed all windows and tabs and then ran the check, and it completed the search. This seemed to resolve the problem There have been some crash fixes in regards to the updater in an upcoming minor release of Accordance. Please contact me privately (e-mail or message on the forum) if this happens again, so I can work with you and see if the fixes that have already been put into place have addressed your issue. However, and this may best be made a separate thread, I saw updates that I thought would be available as a download to current owners, but it mentions getting them via the 8.4 DVD. Is this correct? I have provided a screen attachment. We've discussed our policy on this in other threads before, but to summarize: We are slowly moving towards a more digital distribution format. First of all, two of the items listed are not a free upgrade, just simply informational (such as the NKJV upgrade to the NKJVS with Strongs, or the BDB upgrade to BDB Complete). They are certainly not required, it is just informing that the option is there. The reason the other modules are on that list is that they were upgraded with the 8.4 DVD release in November. All non-scholars modules have had the latest versions posted, but we want to encourage those working with scholarly resources to always keep up to date and to have access to the new modules released on that DVD.
