Is it permitted to install the Yehudit font which ships with Windows Accordance, for general use on Windows, so for example it could be use in LibreOffice documents ? I now that this was the way fonts were installed on Mac some versions ago. But I cannot find any categorical statement to the effect one way or the other, though perhaps some clause can be interpreted to restrict or permit, or I am missing it. I am gratified that you want to use it, but it works only inside Accordance. We still hope to create a Unicode font that incorporates our carefully designed characters, but we need to find someone who knows modern fonts and these languages, not as easy task. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Λύχνις Δαν Posted May 24, 2014 Author Share Posted May 24, 2014 Ok so this is where I 'fess up to having already tried it. I have been able to get it to appear in LibreOffice on Windows. I have not been able to do what I want with it yet but that is likely due to other issues. I have been looking to use it to enable PDF conversion to doc format in multi-lingual documents, which have used this font - such documents having come from Mac of course. At the moment I am trying to work through the issues (and this is just one) of PDF conversion (with and without OCR in multiple languages depending upon the document involved) in order to find a path to user tools and other uses. Of course I am also interested in multi-platform solutions hence the question. So I'm puzzled about what does not work ? I have not for example tried to use it with a keyboard mapping so perhaps I would not be able to type. In any case, if this is a license violation let me know and I will cease the experiments in this direction.
