Enoch Posted January 19, 2011 Share Posted January 19, 2011 On Lev 1:3 the Instant Details for קָרְבָּ֖ן (commonly translated oblation, as a very general term) gives: " (קרב) קָרְבָּן Noun comm masc sing abs wood-offering" Is wood a typo? The first is the more common one, used in Leviticus: "offering, gift". The second one is used only in Nehemiah and is "a wood-offering" (BDB) or "supply of fire-wood" (HALOT).
