Joe Weaks
You should totally upgrade to 7.5.1... it's a free upgrade, ya know. (Awesome pic, btw)
R. Mansfield
You should totally upgrade to 7.5.1... it's a free upgrade, ya know. (Awesome pic, btw) Actually, It's running 7.5.5. I got this laptop off eBay for one of those "I don't know why, but I just want it" reasons. This PB had only one owner before me, a school teacher. It came with all original manuals and even the sales receipt from Apple showing a much better education discount than they give these days. I don't know how long it was used, but it is extremely clean other than the original owner's name in permanent silver marker on the front (I'm trying to get that off). The PB 170 was the high end of the very first generation of PowerBooks after the failed Mac Portable. I find it pretty impressive that the very newest version of Accordance will run on it. Of course, if someone were to actually regularly use Accordance on a PB 170, I think that person would want to do things like turning off tabs and going strictly with independent windows because the tabs take up valuable screen space. The PB 170 has a 640 x 400 screen which I'm sure is smaller than the minimum requirements. On the preferences screen I can't see the edges, but I can still access everything as far as I can tell. R. Mansfield
Here's a straight screen capture from the PB 170 with the BHS-W4 module up front: http://homepage.mac.com/rmansfield/assets/Accordance/pb170bhs.jpg One thing of note is that this screen is strictly black and white. There's no grayscaling at all. So the little "A" icons for text enlargement and reduction simply don't show up. However, knowing where to click I can still utilize them and they work as they should.
