HITS command not working

Hi ya,

 

I am either really missing something or this is broken. Could someone double check me ? This happens on Win and Mac with Acc 11.0.2

 

I am trying to do a simple two tab search using HITS.

First tab : GNT28-T with search : [count +10]

Second tab : LXX1 with search : *@-[HITS Tab1]

 

On executing the second search I get this dialog :

 

 

I changed the first tab name from its default of Greek New Testament (tagged) as I thought the parens might be the issue. My original query was more complex but this is basically the simple query from the documentation.

Ok this is related in some way to the phenomenon reported by Kit earlier in http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14578

When I get an apparently spurious =1 at the bottom of the analysis pane the [HITS ?] fails. When I don't it's fine. So I tried this various [COUNT x] for different values of x. I find that x=18 gives the problem whereas 17 is fine. Obviously ranges including 18 also fail. For [count 18] against the GNT28-T I get this analysis output :

 

Total number of verses = 524

[count 18] (602 total words)

Number of different forms = 33:

ἀληθῶς (α, λανθάνω) truly = 18
Ἀντιόχεια Antioch = 18

It remains a mystery why counts of 19 are included, and even [count 18-18] includes them.

But the real difference seems to be our friend at the end. It would appear that it really is finding and counting a character and that this is not appreciated in the HITS list.

 

Edit : this is not correct - it is possible to see the =1 at the end and still have the HITS work ok.

Hi Daniel,

 

I got the same thing on my Mac. (I made the same search before, and even made a video tutorial for that. However, this time, it doesn't work. Got the same warning.)

 

On my Windows, it does work.

Both of them are v.11.

the Accordance on my Win is v.11.0

the Accordance on my Mac is v.11.0.2

 

I guess the latter somehow caused trouble to it.

I got the same result on my Mac (v. 11.0.2), but not on my Win (v. 11).

 

If I search for [COUNT 18+] on Mac, I got the following result in the end (again, it is fine on my Win):

ὥστε (ὡς, τέ) so that, in order that, thus = 83

= 1

= 4

= 1

= 1

= 6

= 3

I confirm that the COUNT bug is fixed in 11.0.3 which should be released in a matter of days. The HITS bug is also fixed for this release.
