The Interlinear Does Not Display Translation When Background Is Black

I just discovered to my horror that the latest version of Accordance will not display interlinear translation (nor other feature) when you have a black background. (I like non-glare green on black.) This must be a bug in the new version of Accordance, as I don't recall this problem before.

I sincerely hope that this glitch is fixed quickly.

(Or is there someway to get around it now? -- Or do I misunderstand something?)

I can easily reproduce this by changing the Theme of an interlinear tab to "Night Sky" A few elements will show up but most (including Gloss and all the texts I tried) will only appear as black lines.

Clearly the issue is that not all the elements of the interlinear are taking on the "contents" color specified in the theme. Interestingly, the original language texts do, but the English and Spanish texts do not. Certain "grammatical" items do (eg Lemma, Lemma Transliterated) but others do not (Gloss, Tag, etc.)

I've attached a screen shot using a custom set of colors that make it easy to see the items not changing color--and thus disappearing when Enoch tries to use them with his black background.

Enoch, for the time being you might see if you tolerate one of the existing themes or creating a new custom theme that doesn't bother your eyes but has a light enough background for the black elements to be seen.

Thanks a lot for your input and suggestion, Lorinda. But it will be inconvenient to be changing themes. Are you saying that you can set a special theme for an individual tab?

Hi Enoch,

I was also able to reproduce this issue. We will look into it. As Lorinda said, I would recommend trying another theme for the time being.

Yes. Select the tab you want to change, and then press command-t on a Mac. Should be control-t on Windows. A set tab display window will pop up and you can change the theme for that tab only. That's what I did to create the screenshot above.

Enoch, this is now fixed for the next release - thanks for finding it!

You guys are really fantastic.

Now, of course, you will fix the Instant Details so that it also obeys the general theme (I can have black background with green font instead of the glaring white box). Hopefully.
