Easiest way to show author of volume?

Hey all,

What's the easiest way to show the author of a particular volume in a series? For instance, I just pulled up NICNT on Colossians in a new pane/zone. But I want to know who that author is and whether I like that him/her or not. One would think that clicking Accordance --> About The Text... would show the author's name, but it only shows the general editors.

I have discovered that copying as citation and pasting into TextEdit works pretty quickly, but I'm wondering if there's a fast way. Or if not, perhaps I should post this in the Feature Request section that the "About The Text..." dropdown menu include the author(s). :-D

Thanks.

Maybe they can add this feature in to 11.1. The drop-down menu (if it's doable) is a good suggestion.

There's an Authors module on the Exchange that helps a bit, but I agree there needs to be an easier solution.

This is a question that I have had for some time and I use the copy as citation to figure out which author.  For a program as powerful as Accordance, there must be a better way--right click with author of a particular commentary rather than the series details.  Thanks for raising this issue--it is a problem that needs to be solved.

Here’s an idea, and it may be impossible to implement, but if the tool in the parallel pane had the tool browser enabled, then you could just click on the commentary book entry and be taken immediately to the copyright page.

There must be reasons why this isn’t done at the moment, so it is a muse, rather than a request.

True enough, but wouldn't this make you lose your place in the (biblical) text, then, since the panes are linked?

I only mention that because I've tried that same method with tab ties, and I have to go back and "fix" the Bible/search text to get back to where I was after checking on the author of a multi-volume commentary.

Not that I'm opposed to having a tool browser in a parallel pane! :)
