Dieudonne
I updated to Accordance 10.2.0 today and have had close to 20 crashes. Are some of you having the same issue? Please, I'd appreciate any help.

Jonathan C. Borland
Hello Accordancers! I've had a number of crashes in Acc 10.2 after trying to open various of my user tools and getting the error message that it's not available to Accordance at this time and then giving me the window to locate the file. Of course locating the user tool doesn't help because after locating it it's not selectable. Then when I select "cancel" Accordance crashes. Perhaps the names of my user tools are too long? I'm not sure. Some open normally and some are "unavailable" and ultimately cause a crash. Can anyone else reproduce this? Sincerely, Jonathan C. Joel Brown
It sounds like there is something going funny with your automatic Dropbox sync. First, try disabling it in Preferences -> Syncing to see if the crashes go away. If they do, I'd like to work with you a bit to figure out *why* the dropbox is crashing. Bob Kuo
I'm seeing this same issue with Accordance 10.2 on Mac OS X 10.8.4. When I first upgraded I linked my dropbox account and tried to open my user notes locally and Accordance crashed. I changed dropbox sync options from "automatic" to "manual" and still the same problem. Finally, I completely unlinked my dropbox account and it still crashed. All I see in Console.App is: Jul 13 11:14:38 icarus com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[245] ([0x0-0x3bb3bb].com.OakTree.Accordance[7096]): Exited with code: 217 Is there anything else I can do to help debug? I can send my user notes file that's causing the crash. One last thing - I ran the accord executable directly from the command-line and it exited with this: An unhandled exception occurred at $00207B63 : EAccessViolation : Access violation $00207B63 $002440C3 $001A16C5 $00118D08 $00119947 $00120FE8 $00049E75 $00049E1B $00057CCD $00059630 $9746E9BB $972F6394 $972F5780 $972F55CA $97478A34 $97309F6E $972E1851 That may not be helpful if it's just the stuff in my memory. Joel Brown
Anyone getting the Dropbox Sync crash, could you try this for us? Hold down the Command and Option keys, then start the dropbox sync manually (File -> Sync with Dropbox...). After Accordance crashes, look in your ~/Documents/Accordance Files folder for a file, 'Debug Information'. Can you post the contents of the file here? Mike Garrity
Dieud, Interesting that you have two User Tool files named "Themelios" and it appears that Accordance crashes after it tries to remove it. Can you try to delete both versions from the Library and re-add the Themelios in your ~/Documents/Accordance Files/User Tools folder? Mike

Bob Kuo
Joel - could I get a copy as well to see if it fixes my problem? I'm having similar trouble and have two user notes that have identical names.
Mac72583
Hi Joel. I've been having a similar issue with 10.2.0 crashing pretty consistently since I linked it to my dropbox. If you could send me that link as well, I would greatly appreciate it.
Helen Brown
Here is the link, it will update to the release version when it is released. http://accordancefiles1.com/public/Accordance10.2.1a1.zip
Bob Kuo
I was still seeing the same error (Accordance crashing upon opening two of my user tools) even with the updated versions. I created a new user tool and merged my existing ones into it (as suggested at http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9657) and it fixed the problem! So I guess somehow my user tools go corrupted. I'm almost certain it was the 10.2 update. Was this just a one-off problem? Or if I enable dropbox syncing again will my user tools be corrupted again? Thanks, b
kaderan
Hello friends, I am new to the world of Accordance. I just purchased the program (10.2) and the original languages collection. I note this only to say that I have a completely fresh install… my database of modules is an unmodified version of what one gets from the complete download of the package (no additions, reorganizations or upgrades). Nor have I made, as of yet, any user customization, notes or tools at all… I'm a total newbie working off the program defaults at the moment. (Note that I have linked to dropbox). Unfortunately, 10.2 crashes on me all the time, although my issues seem different then the ones noted in this thread. The following sequence produces an unexpected quit of the program without fail: 1. Open a text in a pane or tab 2. Enter "Reading Mode" (text now fills the screen) 3. Attempt to scroll --> program immediately shuts down. Note that I am working on new Macbook air (started from scratch, no Migration from previous computer) so things are about as squeaky clean as I know how to make them from the system side as well. Is this a known bug, or can anyone offer any suggestions of what may have gone wrong? Many thanks for any feedback, Sam H.
Steve King
Hi Sam, Welcome to Accordance. This is a known bug and will be fixed in 10.2.1 See the following topic http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10275 I would imagine it will be pretty soon when this gets released. bjkegley
I just updated to 10.2 and am now getting the same crash. I updated to the linked 10.2.1 and then tried syncing with Dropbox. Now all my highlight files, user notes and user tools have been deleted. Any suggestions for getting these back?
Scott Knapp
You can always recover recently deleted content by going to dropbox.com, logging into your Dropbox, navigating to the Accordance folder inside the Apps folder and choosing to restore deleted files. Note that you may need to navigate into the User Notes, User Tools, and Hilights folders and turn on show deleted files so you can recover them. James Taylor
Is there anything us AppStore users can do? I can't even open the new version. Just crashes with the DropBox dialog. Kink of a bummer not to be able to use the program. JT OK, I found a recent BU and replaced the new version with the last one.
