LXX abbreviations

Where is the list of LXX book name abbreviations? It's not in the LXX Read Me.

Sure would be helpful if these could be accessed from within the program somehow.

I ran a search which turned up "Sol 13:6." That obviously can't be Song of Solomon (it doesn't have that many chapters). Problem is there are multiple books that "Sol" could represent: S/S, Wisdom of Solomon, and Psalms of Solomon. I had to pull down my paper Rahlfs and check each option manually to identify the text. Turns out to be Psalms of Solomon.

There must be an easier way. What am I missing?

(It might also help if Accordance used the standard SBL abbreviations for all ancient texts. Philo and Josephus can be tricky identifying also, as well as OT Pseud--and standard academic work expects that they will be entered with the SBL abbreviations.)

Display menu -> List All Book Names

In any text it will give you all book names, plus abbreviations.

Duh! Thanks Joel. That's a helpful menu item I've managed to overlook for many years.

Though I might note that the listing could be improved (larger print, or adjustable for one thing!). To read:

Ψαλμοί Σολ. Sol Solomon

only helps those of us who read Greek. It would be better if it read:

Ψαλμοί Σολ. Sol Psalms of Solomon

Or using the standard SBL abbreviations:

Ψαλμοί Σολ. Pss Sol Psalms of Solomon

Just as the listing for Wisdom might be more helpful if it read:

Σοφία Wis Wisdom of Solomon

(Never satisfied, are we? ;) This is just a minor tweak. Thanks for all Accordance does.)
