buellpastor
I just recently upgraded to 9.1. Now when I select something like Context, it opens as part of the current window. I can detach that zone, but I'm wondering if there is a way to have it open already detached. Maybe it's just because of habit, but I find it annoying to open in the same window and squeeze my text. jpkang
I'd say give zones a chance, but if you prefer the pre-9 behavior, set the maximum number of zones to 1 (in the General preferences). The other way I would quickly turn a zone into a separate window would be two keyboard shortcuts in succession: first press cmd-opt-t to detach the selected tab (cmd-opt-z to detach an entire zone) and then press cmd-i to automatically tile the original workspace and the new zone. Hopefully the results will look OK to you. If you then close the detached window, you can press cmd-i again to zoom the remaining window to fill up the screen. Helen Brown
A couple of other options: keep the detached window open so it recycles each time, and press command when you click Context to directly open the new tab in a separate workspace.
