Accent issues in user notes

Hi

Having upgraded to Acc 11.01 OSX10.6.8 MacAir C2Duo.

I note the program is using Cardo font for the greek instead of Helena.

I'm noticing problems with the accents when I'm pasting words into my user notes; see attachment.

Even when I try and change the font in user notes to Helena the 'travelling accent' is still cardo.

Also when I select in preferences Helena as the greek font I'm still having the problem.

Can you confirm this is a bug and not my incompetence?

tks

You can choose a different Unicode font for each of the original language fonts in the User Notes, See Preferences: Unicode Display.

Thanks Helen.

So I've set the unicode font to Helena in preferences. Reboot Accordance.

I copy the greek text in GNT28-T, paste it into my user notes and the screen shot shows the result.

You will note the font for the 'travelling accent' and the letter after are both Cardo still, (highlighted) all the other letters are Helena font.

Selecting the word in the user file 'text notes' and selecting Helena font gives the same result. ie Cardo won't go away.

So is it my installation?

thanks in advance.

I don't think Helena is unicode. I ended up downloading the SBL fonts – free. I don't think the SBL Greek is as nice as Helena, but it works.

Some other suggestions for Greek & Hebrew unicode fonts would be appreciated!

@Rayr : Helena is not Unicode, and I tried reproducing the accenting issue you see but I cannot. If I type English in Cardo in a note and then paste in the section from Gal that you have all the accents are preserved. I have my export preferences set to use Unicode on export and to use Cardo for all export. Unicode Display uses Cardo for both Greek and Helbrew.

@Julie : Personally I use Cardo which I like. I've only played with Hebrew in it though I use it for Greek in Notes and LibreOffice on both Mac and PC.

Thx

D
