FunPreach
when I triple click the Greek, I get the default Greek Tool but then I get English texts and have to go down about fifteen items to get to Greek Tools . . . Version 10 used to just bring up other Greek tools (as it should) . .. is there a way to fix this? Thanks. Jerry
Helen Brown
This is a change that lets you switch between any tool in a tool tab. I agree that it is now less convenient to change to the other modules of the same kind. However, Control up/down arrow on Mac (Alt up/down arrow) does cycle through neighbouring modules, so that should help.
FunPreach
Helen, when I hit control up/down arrow, it puts me in workspace mode. I don't know what you mean by "neighbouring modules." Do you have a picture? Thanks, Jerry
Helen Brown
One cannot take a picture of that. The neighbouring modules are the adjacent ones in the Library/menus. I don't know what you mean by workspace mode. Perhaps we can screenshare via Skype.
Steve King
You can also use control +/- rather than the up and down arrows. If you use the up and down arrows then you can end up displaying the other desktops available (at least in Mavericks anyway)
FunPreach
Ouch. That's worse. The triple click no longer brings up my default BDAG. Instead it brings up Mounce which is keyed to a number. So if I use the control +/- it goes to other Greek helps that aren't keyed to the Mounce numbers. By the way, instead of "workspace" I should have said "mission control" and "app expose." Essentially, it displays the desktops in Yosemite. So, Helen, is there no workaround for me? Thanks. Joel Brown
Jerry, your triple click defaults are set in Preferences -> Amplify. The order in which you cycle with control +/- is your Library order, so you can place your favorite lexicons consecutive to each other there. FunPreach
I have to have my texts first in that list, Joel, or they won't appear as they should in the regular search window. I have BDAG set first in the Greek Tools folder. If I take the Greek out of that folder, it seems to wreak havoc. If I organize them within that folder, the Mounce comes up on the triple click no matter what order I have in the Greek Tools folder. That does make sense? I'm thinking I may just have to live with the Greek the way it is if I want my texts to come up in the right order in a regular search window, is that correct? So, to your point, Joel, I have BDAG set as the default for the Greek Tools in preferences but Mounce still comes up first in a triple click on the Greek text. Lorinda H. M. Hoover
What Greek text are you using?
Lorinda H. M. Hoover
To follow up on my question above, in Preferences>Amplify, what do you have set for Greek Key Number? Is it possible that you are using the GNT-Textus Receptus with Strong's? If that were the case, triple click would be pulling from the setting for Greek Key Number, not Greek. FunPreach
Ooo. Nice, Lorinda. I was using "Greek NT Tagged." I don't know how the Greek Key no. got reset but I reset back to BDAG and that solved the problem for the default Greek reference. Thanks! I still would like the drop down menu in the Greek Tools to have just the Greek tools but your work around helps a lot! Thanks! (The drop down menu in the Greek has the same references as the text search. It used to just have the Greek tools show in version 10).
