Brian Howell
I upgraded from 6.3 directly to 6.9. Now, whenever I try to get the Greek or Hebrew entry by triple-clicking on a word in the NIV, I receive the error: I/O Error #-39 in the file "Tools detail settings". I have tried reinstalling the upgrade (several times) and tried downloading the .dmg and installing from that, rather than the .sit file I used at first. Then, I tried deleting the "Tools detail settings" file. None of this has solved the problem.
Helen Brown
This bug has been reported and we will fix it as soon as we get back from our major conventions. Most people have no problem, but a few find that the "Tools detail settings" file is corrupt. That does not matter as you should be able to delete it, and Accordance will recreate it. What matters is that 6.9 is not recreating it correctly. Please download 6.8 from here: and reinstall 6.8 (if it creates a new Accordance folder, just move the 6.8 to your original folder). 6.8 will recreate this file. You can then upgrade again to 6.9, but you may prefer to wait on that until we fix that bug since the differences between them are not great. (For a moment, the Greek or Hebrew screen pops up, as if it will open the concordance, but then nothing else happens.
Robert Liu
I upgraded from 6.3 directly to 6.9. (For a moment, the Greek or Hebrew screen pops up, as if it will open the concordance, but then nothing else happens. The problem is after upgrade to 6.9 the "Tools detail settings" file becomes 0 K, i.e. corrupted. I was able to bypass this error by 1. remove entire Accordance folder 2. reinstall 6.1.1 from CD 3. DO NOT open 6.1.1 after installation is completed so it does not create the "Accordance Settings f" folder 4. install 6.9 upgrade 5. open 6.9 and it will create the Accordance Settings f folder and the "Tools detail settings" file should be 40k in size 6. triple-clicking on a word and it should work
